9. Turner House

Turner House has always been a centre for culture and arts in Penarth since being designed and built by James Pyke Thompson in 1881. What began as a house to keep his personal collection of paintings, prints and fine china soon grew into a small gallery and eventually opened up to the public in 1888. 13. Cosmeston Lakes

This is probably one of the most scenic local walks for dog walkers when visiting Penarth. Cosmeston Lakes have a variety of easy to follow walks covering the flat, open ground and traversing through forest land. A sensitive management regime has been applied to all woodlands, meadows, and wetlands at Cosmeston Lakes since the country park opened in 1978.
