Gifting with a conscience

In March 2020, the pandemic forced many businesses to shift to remote working, now 3 national lockdowns and 10 long months on, many employees are still dealing with the “blurred line” between work and home life which continues to have a significant impact on both their mental and physical health.

When the Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett University wanted to put together gifts to say a big thank you to its staff for all their hard work over the last few months, they approached ShopAppy.com

Vicki Hasset, Head of Pastoral / Academic Services Manager explains:

The purpose of the packages is to firstly show our unwavering appreciation of the team here. We are aware that everyone has worked extremely hard under some very challenging circumstances this year and we wanted to say thank you.

Secondly, given the current circumstances, the gifts we have chosen to be distributed over the next six months, have been chosen to encourage our team to take time out for themselves and promote mindfulness and wellbeing whilst working from home and in isolation.

Finally, we realise that there are increasing pressures on the small businesses that fill up our high streets and we thought that we all have a duty to support them as much as possible which is when we found ShopAppy.com!

This was a really easy and quick way to fulfil all our objectives and the team were a great help in sourcing the relevant products around the country and ensuring that delivery could take place to all our staff.

At ShopAppy.com we can help you gift mindfully whilst shopping locally and supporting small businesses during these testing times. Get in touch to find out how we can help you give back to your staff in 2021. mailto:[email protected]

"I was so pleased to receive a gift from Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett recently via ShopAppy, a notebook and matching pen to focus my thoughts about my wellbeing during the lockdown. I was especially impressed that they put some thought into the gift and used local, small businesses during these difficult times. It really made me smile and feel valued."
