D. F. Impson High Class Butchers began trading in Swaffham, in 1938 and has occupied the same spot ever since.
Harold Impson and his charismatic son, Dermot, set the precedence for extending a warm welcome and providing high quality meats.
In 1996, experienced butcher Tony Potter took over and along with his experienced team continued to build on Impson’s established reputation for supplying their loyal customers with superior local meat.
2015 marked a new chapter in Impson’s history, which saw Tony hand over the reins to livestock farmer and manager of H G Blake Abattoir, Andrew Clarke.
Andrew and his nephew, shop manager Alex Long, have been involved with the family farm and meat trade all their lives, bringing unparalleled experience of livestock selection, production and butchery to Impson’s.
We pride ourselves on high quality and low food miles. Working closely with the farmers and abattoir we really can follow our products from field to fork!
Our knowledgeable staff offer a personal service and are happy to share advice on all cuts of meat.
Be sure to try our renowned award-winning Swaffham Sizzler sausages. With the recipe a closely guarded secret, the Sizzlers are a firm favourite with our customers!
