Green man tree of life ticking clock
This ticking clock is approx 30cm diameter; it is made from reclaimed pallet wood with a plywood face and coated with a water based satin varnish. It depicts the green man within the tree of life. The idea of a tree of life is very old and widespread among many of the world's mythologies, religions and philosophical traditions. It is widely considered as a symbol of personal growth, strength and beauty. The Green Man is a legendary being primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. The Green Man is most commonly depicted in a sculpture, or other representation of a face which is made of, or completely surrounded by, leaves.
