    Pregnancy doesn't have to stop you from enjoying treatments. In fact, both you and your baby benefit from the relaxation gained from safe holistic treatments. I am a qualified midwife as well as a complementary therapist, and trained to safely offer pregnancy massage treatments, facials, hypnotherapy and hypnobirthing – and acupuncture. I use essential oil blends in strengths that are safe for pregnancy, and can position you on either a massage chair or on the couch using specially designed “comfi-client” cushions. Make the most of the time you have before your baby is born, and treat yourself to a lovely, relaxing pampering session.

    Back, neck and shoulder massage - £25.00

    Other treatments to consider during pregnancy:

    Hypnotherapy - £45.00 per session - For relaxation/anxiety/phobias etc. (I hold Senior level qualification with the GHR)

    Acupuncture - £40.00 per session for helping to induce labour once you reach your expected due date.

    Most of the therapies I offer can be mixed as a “fusion”. For example, you could have a pregnancy aromatherapy massage, followed by hypnotherapy for birth anxiety – or a hypnotherapy followed by acupuncture. I can create a bespoke treatment plan for you.

    Chinese cupping treatment

    Dry cupping techniques are used to stimulate the body’s healing processes, and is is a treatment favoured by many Hollywood stars eg Gwyneth Paltrow. I use both traditional fire cupping techniques and also the modern pump suction cups. This is followed by application of aromatherapy essential oil blend to the back, and the cups are re-applied over the oil – moving the suction cups over the back muscles creates a deep tissue massage which is very good for back pain and tension.

    I am an experienced hypnotherapist and hold a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy, and the Senior Qualification with the General Hypnotherapy Register. Hypnotherapy can help with a number of conditions including anxiety management and confidence. I have attended a number of additional hypnotherapy courses over the years, for example; anxiety management, stress, hypnotherapy for the menopause, hypnotherapy for sexual problems, fertility issues and hypnobirthing. I am also trained as a PICT therapist, Battlefield and Auricular Acupuncture (can aid treatment for addiction, weight loss, stress etc) and EFT (Tapping).

    I could fill several pages discussing what hypnotherapy is and the different techniques that can be utilised, however in my experience most clients prefer to speak to a potential therapist - as rapport and confidence in the practitioner is a very important part of the therapeutic relationship.

    Also with its roots in Chinese medicine, facial cupping involves using small silicone suction cups to stimulate your skin and underlying muscle structures. Blood circulation is increased, resulting in cell rejuvenation and repair, and reliving muscle tension. Superficial bruising may be visible on the skin for a couple of days or so following this treatment, as it works by separating different layers of tissue resulting in “micro trauma”. This in turn triggers a healing response which stimulates the cells responsible for collagen production. This subsequently minimises the appearance of fine lines and wrinkle, brightens the skin, tones the jawline and chin – and helps to decrease puffiness.
