Covid 19 update

Client information relating to COVID.

Client covid information and requirements will be sent by email prior to your appointment. I have been vaccinated, and continue to check for any signs of infection with twice weekly lateral flow tests. I use medical grade face masks and wear a washable apron.

I have risk-assessed the clinic premises to comply with government regulations, and aim to offer a covid safe environment.

My therapy room has been refurbished to provide as safe a working environment as possible for my clients. I have enclosed cabinets, all furniture and seating is wipeable material, and I have a screen if required. Decorations are minimal, and visible leaflets are laminated. I have mop-able flooring.

My couch (and pillows if needed) are wipeable, and I will be using a fresh cotton cover for each client to avoid using paper, which is sticky and not very pleasant for the client. All linen is placed in a dissolvable wash bag and is washed at high temperature.

Linen is placed into a dissolvable wash bag which is then placed directly into the machine at hot temperatures, where it melts and releases the contents.

I wear a mask, visor/goggles, gloves and apron for client contact.

I will be allowing only one client to visit at a time in a pre-booked appointment. There will be half an hour gap between clients to ventilate rooms, and sanitise surfaces.

If you are a new client, I will email you a health and information form to complete prior to your visit.

I will ask you to postpone your appointment if you have any symptoms that might be COVID related.

On the day of your appointment. Please wait in your car, and I will message you to come in – this avoids using the waiting area.

Please wear a mask inside the premises – I can provide surgical grade masks if you prefer.

I will be taking your forehead temperature on arrival and asking you to complete a personal details form for each visit. Please bring your own pen. Alternatively, I have a poster with the NHS track and trace bar code for the clinic, which you can chose to scan instead.

I will ask you to sanitise your hands on entry to the building.

Please place your clothes in the box provided - you may if you prefer place your clothes on the wipeable chair, to avoid creasing in the box. Box are sanitised between clients.

Please bring your own water in a plastic bottle should you wish to have a drink, as guidelines state I can no longer offer you one.

Payment can be made in advance by bank transfer, or by card on the day via contactless payment machine. If you prefer to bring cash, please place it in an envelope.

Surfaces, including bannisters and door handles will be sanitised between each appointment.

These procedures will be reviewed regularly when new guidelines are released, or if my professional bodies advise changes are necessary.

Mandala Fusion Therapies

I offer a range of complementary therapies that come under four categories – Aromatherapy, Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture and Aesthetics. I have a special interest in women’s health and well-being, and my treatments reflect this. I can combine techniques to suit your needs - hence the term Fusion Therapies.

I started my career journey in the 1980s, qualifying as a Registered Nurse and subsequently as a Midwife. I began working as a practice nurse in 1996, and in 2007 decided to follow my life-long interest in complementary therapies by completing a Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy with the world renowned Penny Price Academy I have run a private aromatherapy practice alongside my nursing role for the past 14 years, and offer a variety of different treatments associated with this.

In 2008, I was introduced to Hypnotherapy when I observed a psychiatrist colleague using it with a patient. I was fascinated, and after questioning him at length, was persuaded to look into suitably accredited courses. I gained a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy a year later, and have continued to train in additional psychotherapeutic techniques. I am also qualified in EFT, Anxiety Management and Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture amongst other subjects. In 2018, I qualified as a Parks Inner Child Therapist.

I am passionate about my therapy work and continue to update my knowledge on an ongoing basis, as I believe in Lifetime Learning.

I retired from the NHS in 2020, and continue to offer bespoke treatments that combine the therapeutic properties of essential oils, massage, acupuncture and hypnotherapy - with the added treat of pampering, to leave you relaxed, refreshed and with a sense of wellbeing.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and you can be assured that your personal information, together with anything that you disclose to me will remain confidential.

I live in rural South Derbyshire with my husband, and am blessed with two lovely (now adult) daughters. In my spare time, I am a leader with Girl Guiding, and currently run 3 units of girls. I also volunteer with a Mental Health charity in Herefordshire that provides therapeutic contact with (very friendly) goats, and other small animals.
