University Interview Skills Course

If you have got this far to an interview stage, you are likely to have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a place at your chosen university. Without preparation, students can find interviews intimidating, and without expert guidance, it can be hard to know what to expect.

What will be covered?

-Our University interview skills course will equip you with the skills you need to fully prepare for an interview for university.
-How to reverse-engineer complex interview questions in order to excel in academic interviews.
-How to give the interviewer your completely unfiltered thought process in order to demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
-What to do when your mind goes blank in an academic university interview.
-How to expand on your personal statement at interview, in order to stand out from other candidates.

Who would benefit from the course ?
This would be ideal if you are applying to Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial college, UCL or a medical course and you want to:
-Learn how to respond effectively
-Understand the interview format
-Develop a strategy to manage your nerves and demonstrate your thought process with relevant and focused responses, with confidence
-Develop awareness of the traits that interviewers look for in a candidate
-Develop your wider reading strategy to expand your academic knowledge.

Our one to one interviews skills course is tailored to the school or university the student is applying to and gives the student the opportunity to undertake a realistic interview with someone they have not met before, from the comfort of their own home. It is the perfect preparation, replicating an interview experience, testing both the candidate’s academic ability and how they communicate themselves in an interview setting. Each interview is followed by a thorough debrief, with the interviewer giving feedback on the areas that require attention, specific strengths and weaknesses to work on, and a personal pathway for further improvement.
